Welcome! I'm a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop and the recipient of many creative writing awards, including the Iowa Book Prize and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. A former professor, I've served as a full-time faculty member in the English departments at Pennsylvania State University and Franklin & Marshall College. I now coach college applicants on writing the personal statement for university and graduate school admissions and tutor students of all ages in reading comprehension, literary analysis, writing, and the SAT.  In addition, I teach private courses in non-fiction, fiction, and poetry writing. 

I work with neurodiverse students of all ages.
