Welcome! I'm a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop and the recipient of many creative writing awards, including the Iowa Book Prize and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. A former professor, I've served as a full-time faculty member in the English departments at Pennsylvania State University and Franklin & Marshall College, and part-time faculty at University of the Arts, Baruch College, and the University of Iowa. I now coach college applicants in writing the personal statement and supplemental essays for university and graduate school admissions, including law and medical school. I also tutor students of all ages in literary analysis, advanced placement courses and exams, composition, the SAT and ACT, and other English-related areas. Private courses and retreats for groups interested in writing creative non-fiction, fiction, and poetry can be arranged. 

I work with neurodiverse students of all ages.
