Depending on where you live, we'll arrange either in=person or online sessions. I live just outside of Philadelphia, and often travel to New York City - so if live sessions are preferred, we can probably make them happen anywhere between Philly and NY.
Online sessions are just as if not more effective as those that take place in-person. Firstly, it's easy to share materials and read and review them together. Secondly, the personalized website I create for each student allows us to collaborate on writing in real time. Lastly, all or many of the resources we need are immediately available to us online. If we unexpectedly land on a topic, I can jump to exercises or connected readings. The flexibility that online learning allows for is a gift.
Online sessions also enable the following:
Swift and easy collaboration over Google Meet
The ability for me to "enter into" the area of writing we're focusing on (to dip into a sentence, for instance) and demonstrate, as needed, how to correct mistakes or missteps
Automatic saving of notes, transcripts of sessions, and drafts of essays or other writing
Comfort and convenience: your student doesn't have to leave home
